Arrival and Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort After a seamless journey with Cathay Pacific from San Francisco to Hong Kong, followed by a brief layover, I finally landed in the tropical paradise of Cebu. The grandeur of the Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort welcomed me with open arms, offering stunning views of the Mactan Channel and luxurious amenities that set the tone for an indulgent week.
 Adventure Awaits – Whale Shark Encounter and Waterfall Wonders Embarking on a day tour, I found myself face to face with gentle giants during a Whale Shark Encounter. Swimming alongside these majestic creatures in Oslob was a surreal experience, leaving me in awe of nature’s wonders. The adventure continued with visits to the Tumalog and Kawasan Waterfalls, where the lush greenery and cascading waters provided a serene escape from the bustling city life. A boat ride to the Sumilon Sandbar Island offered a perfect blend of relaxation and breathtaking scenery, making it a day to remember.
City Exploration and Cultural Delights Taking a break from nature, I explored the vibrant city of Cebu. The SM Seaside Mall, a shopping haven, offered a glimpse into the local lifestyle, while the Sirao Flower Farm dazzled with its colorful blooms and panoramic views of the city. A visit to the Taoist Temple provided a spiritual retreat, and The Temple of Leah showcased intricate architecture and a love story etched in stone.
Throughout the week, the warmth and friendliness of the people left a lasting impression. Whether interacting with locals or enjoying the diverse culinary offerings, Cebu embraced me with its open arms. From traditional Filipino dishes to international delights, every meal was a culinary adventure.
