Today I will take you to my bucket list to visit Europe. Yup, you guessed it right, Greece. I saw so many beautiful pictures on social media about this place and I dreamt one day I will get a chance to step my feet on it.
Well, they said you dream enough it can become reality. In this case, it came true for me. However, it was kinda hard for me to choose which places I should visit in Greece. Santorini was sure on my list. But I want to see more than the famous blue Santorini. I need to see a whole picture of Greece. Therefore I chose Mykonos and Athens and I am glad I did.
We arrived in Santorini from Paris. It was a short flight, less than 2 hours. Most people love to stay in Fira town but I preferred to stay out of that area for serval reasons. It will be easier for you to carry luggage in and out. Trust me, you will thank me for it. You will not hear people walking, eating, and partying 24 hours a day. That was the best decision I made.
We booked the Kara suites. It was about 15 minutes drive to Fira. For some of you who are not familiar with Fira town. It’s the capital city of Santorini where you see infamous white buildings with blue roots. Do not get confused between Thira and Fira. They are not the same. Thira and Santorini are the same places but Thira is the official name and Santorini is more like a nickname. Anyway, Kara suite is a beautiful hotel. In every room you book, you will get a private heated pool, kitchen, living room, and king bed with 2 full baths. It’s a huge place for a price. The owner and people who work there are extremely nice and helpful. I highly recommend you stay here.
We also visited Red beach, Oia town (Imerovigli) for flying dress pictures, and Kamari beach. Keep in mind you will not find a white sandy beach in Santorini, they are often rocky but it’s still beautiful scenery for sure.
Dining and shopping are endless here. We didn’t rely on review or yelp, we walked and just pop in to try their food and they were all delicious.
One of my favorite restaurants is Parea Tavern. Their muscle and house wine were so yummy.
Of course, you cannot leave Santorini without taking pictures in a flying dress. For me, that is the only way we can capture the beauty of this place and I will leave it to the professionals.

They have a lot of options for you to choose from, so don’t worry about not being sure which one to pick. But you must add on the person who will help to make your dress fly. He will tag along with your photographer. It’s well worth it.
