Red Velvet Cookie Recipe
Soft, chewy, and bursting with cocoa flavor!
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Whisk flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl
- In a bowl, beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy
- In a bowl, add egg, food coloring, and vanilla; mix until smooth
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mix just until combined. Fold in white chocolate chips.
- Drop 1.5 tbsp dough balls onto the sheets, 2" apart. Bake for 12 minutes
- Let rest for 5 minutes then transfer to rack
