Red Velvet Cookie Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Whisk flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl
  • In a bowl, beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy
  • In a bowl, add egg, food coloring, and vanilla; mix until smooth
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mix just until combined. Fold in white chocolate chips.
  • Drop 1.5 tbsp dough balls onto the sheets, 2" apart. Bake for 12 minutes
  • Let rest for 5 minutes then transfer to rack
