I wanted to make a Europe trip for a while now. Our first stop is London because it’s the only destination that has a direct flight from San Francisco and I always wanted to visit Buckingham Palace.
I am so glad that I did. London is a beautiful country with a lot of history and it’s food heaven for me. We visited downtown London and stopped by the Borough market. Trust me, if you are not sure where to go to eat, then this place is a must-stop. They had so many vendors outside. It was like visiting an international street food affair and the best part they were open every day. I discovered Borough market from my favorite celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. He actually recommends this place.
After that, we visited Buckingham Palace where the Royal live. It’s a beautiful palace. The moment you step inside you can feel the royalty vibes. We booked the tickets with a personal tour guide. It’s worth it because we learned a lot about the history of the royal family versus going without one. She helped us understand England’s history along the way. I thought I enjoyed it.
Curry is a very popular dish in London, you must try one of the many Indian restaurants there. The next one is the traditional English Breakfast and the best one in town is Centre Cafe. It’s a cute little spot in the forest.
Most of the time, we took Uber for transportation. It’s cheap and convenient. One this I learned from the Europe trip is not to pack any fancy or high heels shoes. You won’t need them. You will walk a lot.
Other things I recommend to see are the Big Ben Clock Tower, London Bridge, Hyde Park, London Eye, and China Town. We didn’t have enough time to visit Stonehenge. It was too far for us. We only stayed in London for three days. Enjoy some highlighted pictures below and stay tuned for my next post.
