Cheese Danish Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry thawed
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg york for filling
  • 1 egg egg wash

Instructions
 

  • Preheat over to 400 F
  • Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 rectangles
  • Make the cream cheese filling by adding cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and egg yolk.
  • Mix until smooth and creamy
  • Shape the danish. Lightly score a smaller square inside each piece (don't cut all the way through)
  • Dock the center with the fork (prevents puffing too much)
  • Add 1-2 tbsp cream cheese filling in the center
  • Top with fruit as your choice
  • Brush edges with beaten egg
  • Bake for 20 minutes until golden and puffed
