- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry thawed
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 egg york for filling
- 1 egg egg wash
Preheat over to 400 F
Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 rectangles
Make the cream cheese filling by adding cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and egg yolk.
Mix until smooth and creamy
Shape the danish. Lightly score a smaller square inside each piece (don't cut all the way through)
Dock the center with the fork (prevents puffing too much)
Add 1-2 tbsp cream cheese filling in the center
Top with fruit as your choice
Brush edges with beaten egg
Bake for 20 minutes until golden and puffed
