Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs + 1 extra egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat ove to 325 F. Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper
  • Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla; mix well.
  • Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold into wet ingredients until just combined (don't overmix)
  • Fold in chocolate chip (save 1/4 cup to press on top)
  • Bake: 12-12 minutes. Let cookies rest on trays for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack
