My recent trip to Costa Rica was one of my most memorable vacations. From the lush jungles to the majestic beaches. I was in awe from the moment I landed.
The small Central American country of Costa Rica is known for its stunning beaches and breathtaking rainforests, making it one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world. But there is so much more to this beautiful country than just its tropical climate and unique wildlife. From its plentiful outdoor activities to its fascinating cultural attractions to its delicious local cuisine, Costa Rica offers something for everyone.
On my first stop, we stayed at the Riu Guanacaste, a luxurious hotel with all the amenities. The poolside view is incredible and the ornamental gardens are picturesque. We decided on this resort for its beauty and the laid-back vibes that seem to cling to the air.
The resort was situated right on the beautiful beach. The rooms were spacious and clean, with beautiful views from the balcony. And what made the stay even more enjoyable was the all-inclusive package. It meant we didn’t have to worry about planning meals or buying drinks, which made our holiday that much easier.
We also stopped by Tamarindo town. If you’re looking for the perfect getaway experience in Costa Rica, Tamarindo is an absolute must-visit! This small surf town is located on the Pacific Ocean and is known for its beautiful beaches and incredible surfing waves.
Tamarindo is the perfect surfing destination. Beginners and experienced surfers will be entranced by the large, powerful waves here. Longboarders will be able to catch plenty of rides throughout the day, while shortboarders have plenty of tubes and fast, steep breaks to challenge themselves. For those who would rather watch than participate, it’s also the perfect spot for spectating. The locals are friendly and often willing to share their insights about the ocean and surfing.
On our third stop, we visited Playa Conchal one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful and popular beaches. Located near the town of Brasilito, and just a few hours away from the capital city of San Jose, this stunning white sandy beach and shimmering clear waters is the perfect destination for a tranquil day of sun and relaxation.
The crystal clear waters of Playa Conchal provide the perfect backdrop to explore the diverse marine life that resides here. Snorkeling is a great way to get up close and personal with the vibrant coastal ecosystem, as you can explore the depths of the ocean and observe some of the colorful creatures that live close to shore. The waters are just as inviting for swimming, with the shoreline often dotted with swimmers of all experience levels enjoying the sun and sea.
My absolute favorite memory was the amazing array of incredible sites I was able to experience. I was able to take in the beauty of the La Fortuna Waterfall, hike Arenal Volcano, and walk across one of the remarkable hanging bridges that span across the dense rainforest of this wonderful country.Â
The La Fortuna Waterfall was truly breathtaking. Standing at an impressive 75 meters in height, it was a sight I won’t soon forget. It was amazing to swim in the pool below, which had been formed by the rushing river water, and to take in the stunning greenery that spanned out as far as the eye could see.
Of course, my next journey was to explore the famous Arenal Volcano. After an enjoyable hike up the side of the mountain, it was incredible to stand at the summit and take in the breathtaking views down below, while feeling the heat.
We saved the best for last by staying at the Thermal Tabacon Resort in Costa Rica, and I must say it was simply incredible! From the moment we stepped foot onto the grounds, I could tell that this was going to be one of the best trips of my life.
The property is nestled in the lush tropical rainforest, and the service was top-notch. From the moment we stepped on site, we were welcomed with cold drinks and warm smiles, and they took care of all our needs. The room was spacious and comfortable, and being able to look out at the rainforest was a special treat.
The highlight of our trip was the thermal hot springs. The resort has its own thermal hot springs, and it was an incredible experience. You can watch the sunset over the mountain, and the water was just so relaxing. We also enjoyed the spa services, and the restaurant served some of the best local dishes I’ve ever had.
I hope you enjoy some pictures of our trip and hope you can visit this beautiful country one day.
